Is that a Brazilian on your head or…
I’ve been having an alarming and extended bad hair year. Actually I am now in the 15th month of the bad hair era. I have finally figured out that I have also had the same hairdresser for the same amount of time. To be honest I can’t blame him. I decided to go blonde last year. It was to say the least, a dreadful idea. I wanted it instantly platinum blonde and found out the Irish strain in my genes comes with an undercurrent of red hair that will not be denied. In the end it was totally blonde and then I looked so much like serial killer, I wanted it back to black (dark brown with a red shine to it). My hair was destroyed. It stuck out like sticks and I had to cut it very short. I am a Leo so my self-esteem is deeply connected to my mane. I am trying to grow my hair but keeping it in a decent style is very difficult. An added complication is that after my pregnancy with Juan my hair went from being straight as arrows to being curly.
Now, calling it a Brazilian blow dry is a most unfortunate name. But since two great things have now come from Brazil and both of them concern unruly hair I have decided to submit my hair to this blow dry. I have found a hairdresser that uses harmless chemicals for the blow dry. I love Louis Brooks. I love the 1920’s and I think I may have been a flapper in a previous life. I need a tint and cut too but have to wait a week for the Brazilian to settle.
So hopefully this is what it will look like when I am done and then may the fantastic hair year commence!
